Travelex Plus Terms and Conditions

  1. These Terms and Conditions (“T&Cs”) govern the Travelex Plus program (“Travelex Plus” or “Plus”) offered by Travelex Foreign Coin Services (Registered Number - 02884875. Registered Office - Worldwide House, Thorpe Wood, Peterborough, PE3 6SB) or its affiliates (“Travelex”). By registering for, subscribing to, or using Travelex Plus, you confirm that you accept and agree to these T&Cs. If you do not agree, you must not participate in Travelex Plus.
  2. Travelex Plus is a loyalty program designed to offer eligible customers access to exclusive benefits:

2.1. Improved Rates: You will typically receive improved exchange rates compared to our standard rates displayed at points of purchase. The specific rate improvement may vary depending on date of transaction, location, currency, type of transaction (e.g. cash or Travelex Money Card (“TMC”)) or channel (e.g. store, online, or app)

2.2. Commission-Free Transactions in Stores: Travelex Plus members will pay no commission fees on currency transactions in participating UK stores.

2.3. Special Promotions: From time to time, Travelex may offer additional promotions to Travelex Plus members, such as first trip discounts, member-only currency rate sales, rate freeze offers, travel rewards, and partner discounts.

(“Benefits”)

  1. The availability, structure, and timing of Benefits are entirely at Travelex’s discretion, and any qualification criteria (e.g., minimum spend or first-time TMC load) will be specified in each promotional communication. Benefits may differ depending on the purchase channel (in-store, online, or via the mobile app) and the type of transaction (cash or TMC). Certain Benefits may only be redeemable through specific channels. All Benefits are subject to availability and eligibility requirements, which will be detailed in each relevant offer communication.
  2. You can join Travelex Plus at any UK Travelex store or through our online or app sign-up forms. Once enrolled, you will receive a welcome email detailing how to access your Benefits, followed by regular emails containing exclusive Travelex Plus benefits and promotional codes. To redeem promotional discounts, you must be able to prove Travelex Plus membership by presenting a membership card, or by applying a valid code at the time of purchase. You may also need to meet any stated requirements (such as a minimum transaction value or being a new TMC customer). Please note that promo codes cannot be applied retroactively.
  3. There is no fixed expiry to your Travelex Plus membership, you will continue to receive membership benefits provided you choose to remain a member.
  4. Travelex uses your personal data in accordance with our customer Privacy Statement (available at https://www.travelex.co.uk/services/privacy-centre). This includes receiving marketing communications and surveys about Travelex products and services and Travelex Plus, as well as other Travelex offers, products, or services. We may offer travel rewards from carefully selected partners, but we will never share your data with third parties
  5. You may cancel your Travelex Plus membership at any time by using the unsubscribe link in any Travelex Plus email or by contacting customer service.
  6. We reserve the right to terminate, vary, suspend, discontinue or refuse redemption of any Travelex Plus Benefits, your membership (or any part thereof) or these T&Cs, at our sole discretion, at any time and with immediate effect, without liability to you, for any reason, including but not limited to: (i) if we reasonably suspect that your order has been placed for any reason other than purchasing holiday spending money, or for speculative gain, investment, or business purposes; (ii) if there have been significant fluctuations in the market exchange rate following the your purchase related to Travelex Plus; (iii) to ensure regulatory requirements are met; (iv) if your purchase fails our internal security checks; and/or (v) if we reasonably believe you have breached these T&Cs or if your use of Travelex Plus is deemed fraudulent, abusive, or otherwise unlawful.
  7. Travelex Plus is open only to UK residents aged 18 years or over. You must remain opted in to receive marketing communications from Travelex Plus (via email or other channels, as applicable) in order to continue receiving Benefits.
  8. We may choose to expand Travelex Plus over time into other countries where we are present. When this happens, we will communicate this to all members, explaining what this means and how your benefits have changed or been enhanced
  9. Travelex Plus Benefits may not always be combined with other promotions or offers, unless specifically stated. If there is any conflict between these T&Cs and the terms of another promotion, these T&Cs shall prevail to the extent of such conflict or inconsistency.
  10. These T&Cs must be construed in conjunction with the applicable Travelex Online T&Cs for any online transactions (available at Online Terms and Conditions | Travelex UK) and the TMC T&Cs for any TMC transactions (available at tmc_terms-and-conditions_december2023.pdf). In the event of any conflict or inconsistency between these T&Cs and either the Online or TMC T&Cs, the relevant Online or TMC T&Cs shall prevail to the extent of such conflict or inconsistency.
  11. We reserve the right to amend, withdraw, or otherwise modify these T&Cs at any time by posting the updated version on our website or notifying you by email. Any revised T&Cs will become effective upon posting, or on such later date as specified in the notice. If we make material changes, we will provide regulatory notice, if any; however, your continued use of Travelex Plus after any changes indicates acceptance of the updated T&Cs. You are expected to review these T&Cs periodically, as they remain binding on you. By joining Travelex Plus after the T&Cs have been revised, you agree to the updated terms. Travelex shall not be liable to you for any withdrawal or modification of these T&Cs, which may take immediate effect.
